They say that history repeats itself. I for one believe it does. You can see it in the fashion & home decor from years ago re-appearing decades later. You can see it in our political system. Unfortunately sometimes folks don't seem to learn from the past. The same mistakes keep getting made over & over again.
I remember as a teen hearing the phrase, 'Don't reinvent the wheel, learn from the past.' Or something similar along those lines. Tell me then why are some others so stubborn as to think that their implantation of a way of doing something will make the outcome any better. Can it happen? Is it all in the implantation? What about timing? Can the time you bring your idea out into the public view bear that much influence on it's success? Or is it that some folks don't know about it's previous failure & actually look at a previous failure as a 'new' idea thereby allowing it to actually have a chance of success this time around? In my opinion, no. Once a failure, mostly likely always a failure.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this about rejection. ie: I write a book or make a painting, it's rejected by the publishers or art critic. In this instance, a self-critical eye must be used to enable one to see what can be changed & improved upon in order to improve upon the work. Hence, the work becomes new, after embellishments, changes, & corrections. It is not the old - it is new. Developed into a new creation. So yes, it WAS a failure initially but because of due diligence it has a chance of being seen as a hit. Failure, if changed significantly can become success .
I started this blog today, because I'm pretty darn scared. Scared that the America I knew, took pride in, & loved will be no more. The America my ancestors flocked to on the promise of freedom has cease to exist. The America known as the United States is now, due to the fast track of the TPP agreement is now only considered to be a Union & no longer an individual sovereign. With that beyond Top Secret agreement- our beloved Constitution is antiquated. All freedoms our collective forefathers of this country fought & died for has been put asunder.
I began this blog discussing history & history repeating itself and learning from the past in order to be a success. Well tell me this - if our governing body, with all their college degrees and experience did not learn about our other failed attempts at trade agreements why in Gods name did they think this colossal trade agreement would go any better for it's people?
The fact is that our governing body do NOT care for 1 second for us. They only think of themselves with greedy hands outstretched to the mega-corporations. Promises made for them to be elected are now being called in & they are paying the piper with our lives!
I am not going to get into "tin-foil hat" conspiracy theories which abound and may even be true since video's usually don't lie & news from reputable sources spout the truth, but I can tell you this I don't need those theories to KNOW that the regular folks in the US are being screwed over big time!
More then ever the hashtag ALL LIVES MATTER is extremely important. No matter our skin tone, no matter our speech dialect, no matter our station in life - OUR LIVES MATTER. Every single life that is lived matters! We all have a story to tell. We all can all leave a legacy to future generations.
We need to; as a united people, on this North American continent, we need to come together! This includes ALL of the continent, not just the former United States.
When tragedy occurs majority want to help; well tragedy is happening all around us right in our own neighborhoods! It should not have to be a mass killing for us to react. It should not have to be blared across TV or our social media in order for us to respond to the plight of our neighbor.
From here on out this blogs tone will be changing - a bit - to be on a more positive note. For it is my belief that you get back what you give out. So if I were to post only negative energy postings it generates negative energy Those energies; or vibes if you like, go out into the universe. I want to leave a positive energy footprint!
Future postings will present a past (historical) idea, belief, or even just a photo where I'll then give insight into it's origin & then propose my own interpretation on how, in our current day, we can -again as a positive people use the lessons learned to progress our family, friends, neighborhood, & self.
Oh and the future posts won't be as long... :-D LoL
